Chatten: to chat (online), i.e. exchange informal messages in real time; also to chat via apps. It's a regular weak verb, non‑reflexive, uses auxiliary haben for perfect (hat gechattet). No special preposition. Imperative forms and participle 'gechattet' are regular in German.
