Means 'to drive' and 'to go (by vehicle)'. A strong irregular verb with stem change a→ä (du fährst, er fährt). Uses both auxiliaries: 'sein' for intransitive motion (Er ist nach Hause gefahren) and 'haben' for transitive uses (Er hat das Auto gefahren). Not reflexive.
